A violent altercation at Wong Tai Sin MTR Station on Sunday evening resulted in the arrest of three men after a dispute between two elderly men and a young couple escalated into a physical fight, leaving all three with injuries requiring hospital treatment.
Yesterday evening, around 6pm, a violent brawl broke out at Wong Tai Sin MTR Station. The incident began when two men, both aged 64, got off a train and took an elevator from the platform to the concourse level.
Inside the elevator, they clashed with a couple in their 20s who were pushing a stroller.
What started as a verbal dispute quickly escalated into a physical confrontation, with the two elderly men and the 29-year-old man from the couple engaging in a fierce fight.
MTR staff intervened to de-escalate the situation and alerted the police.
Officers arrived promptly, reviewed CCTV footage, and arrested the three men on suspicion of fighting in a public place.
The two 64-year-old men, who are friends, reported dizziness and shoulder bruising and were transported to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
The 29-year-old man sustained more severe injuries, including wounds to his forehead, face, and left eye; a 1-centimeter cut on his lip; and a 1-by-4-centimeter abrasion on his hand, requiring treatment at a hospital via a separate ambulance.
