The Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) announced on Tuesday that 259 applicants saw their admission outcomes revised following Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education examination (DSE) grade reviews, with 85 previously unplaced students gaining bachelor's degree offers - nearly double last year's figure.
This year's reconsideration process involved 442 applicants seeking review of their results. Among the successful cases, 59 students obtained places in UGC-funded or Hong Kong Metropolitan University bachelor's programmes after initially receiving no offers, while 26 gained admission to SSSDP-funded degree courses.
Additionally, 154 students already holding bachelor's degree offers received higher-preference placements at UGC-funded institutions or HKMU following grade reassessments. Eleven applicants upgraded from SSSDP programmes to UGC-funded or HKMU bachelor's degrees, while six obtained better placements within the SSSDP scheme.
JUPAS reminded successful applicants to check their online accounts for registration details, noting that those receiving upgraded offers will have their original placements automatically withdrawn. These applicants will not be reconsidered for any JUPAS programmes during the 2025-26 academic year.
