Hong Kong's team will be represented by bowlers James Lui Chin-hung, Wu Siu-hong, and Wong Kwan-yuen, among others.
Local bowlers expressed cautious optimism about competing in the state-of-the-art venue. Lou, who is set to defend his title from the last edition, acknowledged the challenge of adapting to the new lanes but vowed to maintain his consistent performance.
Wong, part of last year's Asian Championships bronze-medal trio, said he looked forward to facing national team players and hoped to advance to the stepladder matches with home crowd support.
Hong Kong China Tenpin Bowling Congress chairman Vivien Lau Chiang-chu praised Kai Tak's facilities as "the most technologically advanced bowling venue in Asia," particularly highlighting the marquee events scheduled for June 27-28.
The competition will be immediately followed by the U22 Storm Cup from July 6-8, with Lau noting that international youth bowlers may extend their stay to participate in multiple age-group tournaments.
Government officials emphasized the event's significance in building momentum for sports development. Principal Assistant Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Candy Nip Kai-yan projected that the upcoming 15th National Games would further boost bowling's popularity, while Assistant Director (Leisure Services) Camay Lee Kar-mei reaffirmed commitments to support elite competitions and leverage Kai Tak's facilities to attract more major events.
