The city leader noted that both countries are experiencing robust economic growth, and the capital-rich Middle East is diversifying risks by investing in mainland China and Hong Kong.
Lee is scheduled to meet with both governments to discuss enhanced cooperation, tour local facilities, and assess the region’s latest developments.
It is highlighted that the delegation includes over 20 representatives from mainland enterprises in Zhejiang and Guangdong, marking their inaugural participation, alongside approximately 30 Hong Kong business leaders.
Lee also stated that representatives are from the advanced manufacturing and finance industries, demonstrating Hong Kong’s unique advantage of providing comprehensive supply chain solutions.
Meanwhile, Lee mentioned that a series of agreements were signed after his previous visit to the Middle East, strengthening ties between governments and private sectors.
He added that this visit brings his engagements to two-thirds of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, reaching 90 percent of the total population of the region.
In addition, he expressed the hope to deepen regional exchanges and cooperation while exploring new business opportunities.
