Viral plushie maker Pop Mart officially announced the launch of the third edition of the beloved Labubu series -- titled "Big into energy" -- that available on online platforms in the mainland starting Thursday, before dazzling fans in physical stores on Friday.

Featuring vibrant new colors and glittering eyes, the series includes six regular designs and one secret edition with gray fur and rainbow gradient eyes and teeth.
Each blind box is priced at 99 yuan, with a complete set of six blind boxes totaling 594 yuan. It is reported that the probability for collectors to find the hidden version is 1 in 72.
Some sellers have already listed the whole set of seven figures for HK$2,400 on secondhand trade platforms.
Additionally, one regular version doll is marked up to HK$300 each, while individual blind boxes are selling at HK$250.
Fans looking to open a complete set of six blind boxes, or secure the single hidden doll, will need to pay at least HK$1,500 respectively.
As a sought-after series, the online community has expressed exhaustion from failing to obtain their desired dolls, with many stating they would prefer to pay a higher price.
Amid the excitement for the sale, some fans, as well as toy influencers, and celebrities have already gotten their hands on the Labubu dolls through Pop Mart's early access.
In a recent video released by Pop Mart on the mainland social media platform Xiaohongshu, the reveal of the new colors of the Labubu dolls attracted a flood of praise from the viewers.
Reminiscent of the previous star effect strategies with Blackpink member Lisa, the Chinese toy titan also invited renowned Japanese artist Takashi Murakami to showcase the new series.
Local actress Bernice Jan Liu Bik-yee also shared her early unboxing video on Instagram, appearing excited, especially when revealing the hidden edition.
"Big into energy," is a term derived from mainland internet slang, first appearing on mainland video sites like Bilibili, where viewers use the term to alert others to prepare for impactful or dramatic content.
