MTR to increase Tseung Kwan O Line train frequency

The MTR Corporation will operate 230 additional train trips on the Tseung Kwan O Line during non-peak hours on weekdays.

Starting next Monday (Apr 28), train frequency between North Point and Po Lam stations will be increased to about every 4.5 minutes from 10.15am to 5pm, as well as 8pm to 12am.  

Trains between Tiu Keng Leng and LOHAS Park stations will also run more frequently at about every 9 minutes during the period. 

"The Corporation will continue to closely monitor the operation of railway lines, passengers’ travel patterns, and ridership to suitably adjust train service based on actual demand and operations," the MTR stated in the announcement on Wednesday.

In addition, regular train service on the Tseung Kwan O Line on Sundays and public holidays has been enhanced since February.
