French luxury brand Louis Vuitton has ventured into the culinary world with the opening of Le Café Louis Vuitton in Seoul’s Gangnam district, offering a fusion of French and Korean cuisine that has already captured widespread attention.
Louis Vuitton has made its debut in the culinary world with the opening of Le Café Louis Vuitton, its first permanent restaurant, located within the Louis Vuitton Maison Seoul flagship store in the upscale Cheongdam-dong area of Gangnam, Seoul.
The restaurant, which opened on September 1, began accepting online reservations on August 18 and quickly became fully booked, with tables remaining in high demand through mid-September.
Led by renowned chef Yoon Tae-kyun, the restaurant offers a unique dining experience that combines French culinary techniques with Korean flavors. Popular dishes include beef dumplings, priced at approximately HK$264; a yuzu Caesar salad with chicken for about HK$220; and a pear and shallot sauce for around HK$160.
The beef dumplings, served in sets of three, have garnered significant attention for their outer skin embossed with Louis Vuitton’s iconic Monogram pattern, seamlessly blending the brand’s fashion heritage with its culinary venture and making them a signature dish.
To create a cultured dining atmosphere, the restaurant features a curated selection of publications, allowing guests to immerse themselves in artistic inspiration while dining.
As part of its broader Louis Vuitton Culinary Community initiative, the brand is collaborating with acclaimed chefs in cities such as Paris, New York, Tokyo, Milan, and Bangkok to create innovative dishes that reflect local flavors, further expanding its presence in the global dining scene.
