Hang Seng Index falls 251 points on Friday as oil prices hover at US$100

Hong Kong stocks fell on Friday, as oil nears US$100 (HK$780).

The benchmark Hang Seng Index dropped 251 points, or 1 percent, to 25,465 points at close.

The market turnover dropped to HK$246.5 billion. 

The Hang Seng Tech Index slid by 1 percent to 4,978 points.

In the mainland, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index declined 0.82 percent to 4,095 points and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange Component Index was down by 0.6 percent to 14,280 points.
