Hang Seng Index's gains narrow at noon

Hong Kong stocks’ gains narrowed by midday on Tuesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index climbed by 146 points, or 0.5  percent to 27,173 points by noon. 

The half-day market turnover was HK$133.8 billion. 

The Hang Seng Tech Index increased by 0.85 percent to 5,463 points at noon.

In the mainland, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index was flat at 4,122 points and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange Component Index was also muted at 14,206 points at the midday close.
