Hong Kong stocks rose on Tuesday, supported by gains in major technology names.

The Hang Seng Index opened 155 points higher, or 0.59 percent, at 26,188, while the Hang Seng Tech Index climbed 42 points, or 0.75 percent, to 5,687.
Most heavyweight tech stocks advanced. Alibaba (9988) opened 3.3 percent higher, Tencent (0700) rose 1 percent, while Meituan (3690) was little changed, edging down 0.05 percent. JD.com (9618) traded flat.
Xiaomi (1810), which reported November vehicle deliveries exceeding 40,000 units, opened 0.6 percent higher.
