Hang Seng Index plunges at the open, following Wall Street’s slump overnight

The Hang Seng Index fell by 412 points, or 1.52 percent, to 26,660 points at the open, following Wall Street’s slump overnight on a slower-than-expected rate cut expectation.

The Hang Seng Tech Index fell by 2.2 percent to around 5,848 points.
