Hong Kong stocks fell at the open on Monday, pressured by weakness in major technology names.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index dropped 85 points, or 0.33 percent, to 26,459, with turnover reaching HK$10.7 billion. The China Enterprises Index shed 40 points, or 0.43 percent, to 9,432. The Hang Seng Tech Index slid 0.68 percent to 6,251.
Heavyweight tech stocks retreated, with Alibaba (9988) down 0.9 percent, Tencent (0700) easing 0.08 percent, Meituan (3690) losing 1 percent, JD.com (9618) slipping 0.6 percent, and Xiaomi (1810) declining 0.8 percent.
