Harbour Centre Development narrows loss to HK$104m

Harbour Centre Development (0051) recorded a loss of HK$104 million in the first half of 2021, narrowing from HK$1.28 billion a year ago.

An interim dividend will not be paid.

The basic loss per share were HK$0.15, down from HK$1.81. The basic loss per share were HK$0.15, down from HK$1.81.

Revenue increased by 1.77 times to HK$1.81 billion as the company "proactively expanded foothold in the domestic market," but was still not able to cover the basic operating costs.

The company said the core hospitality and retail sectors in Hong Kong were still on their knees because of the pandemic, and "no early recovery can be assumed.''
