The Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau, located in Cotai, representing an investment of about HK$39 billion, officially opened its doors to the public on Saturday.
The integrated resort is developed by SJM Resorts, S.A. SJM described it as a milestone project, which represents Macau’s historical traditions and cultural interchange of East and West.
SJM’s Chairman of the Board of Directors Daisy Ho Chiu-fung, Managing Director Angela Leong On-kei, Directors Ambrose So Shu-fai, Maisy Ho Chiu-ha and Arnaldo Ho Yau-heng attended a Chinese Bai Sun blessing ceremony to celebrate the opening this morning.
Speaking at the ceremony, Daisy Ho said, “The phased launch of Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau marks the beginning of a new chapter for SJM.
“This project is a testament to SJM’s strong confidence in Macau’s diversified development and success,” she also said.
Daisy Ho added that, “In the months to come, additional facilities at Grand Lisboa Palace will be inaugurated, including two hotel towers – the world’s first THE KARL LAGERFELD and Asia’s first Palazzo Versace Macau.”
In the first phase, the largest hotel tower Grand Lisboa Palace is open to guests with 1,350 contemporary, Chinoiserie-inspired guestrooms, SJM said.
Additional facilities and offerings in dining, shopping and leisure being will be launched throughout 2021 and beyond, SJM pointed out.
