S&P 500 futures trading briefly halted, Dow futures dive by 1,000 points

U.S stock futures and crude oil prices plunged in electronic trading late Sunday in the US. The Dow Jones Industrial Average futures gave up more than 1,000 points. S&P 500 futures and Nasdaq Composite futures lost nmore  than 4 perecnt.

S&P 500 futures trading was briefly halted late Sunday when so-called circuit breakers were triggered after a 5 percent fall.
