This year’s edition promises to be the most dazzling yet, featuring the debut of the “Immersive Light Show in Central”, an unprecedented collaboration among eight iconic buildings — Bank of China Tower, Court of Final Appeal, City Hall High Block, Hong Kong Club Building, HSBC Main Building, Prince’s Building, and Standard Chartered Bank Building.
From November 28 to January 4, the synchronized light and sound performances will illuminate the Central skyline every 30 minutes between 7.30pm and 10.30pm, weaving together 3D projections, dynamic lighting, and festive music to create an enchanting visual symphony.
The participating skyscrapers will become colossal canvases for vivid Christmas imagery — angels, snowmen, reindeer, and gift boxes — with animated sequences dancing across multiple façades and even leaping onto the trees of Statue Square Garden, offering spectators a multi-layered experience of light and motion.
Adding to the celebration, Statue Square Garden will be transformed into a “Christmas Town”, anchored by a 20-metre-tall Christmas tree — the equivalent of a six-storey building — surrounded by nostalgic festive installations such as toy rockets, wooden puppets, and miniature trains.

A Starlight Boulevard along Chater Road will further heighten the festive spirit, as the thoroughfare is decked with glittering Christmas lights and decorations, guiding visitors from the Winter Wonderland to the light show’s prime viewing spots.

HKTB said this year’s program marks a new milestone for Hong Kong’s winter celebrations, aiming to reinforce the city’s reputation as Asia’s top winter travel destination.
With extensive support from industry partners — including the Hong Kong Retail Management Association, the Quality Tourism Services Association, and leading shopping malls — the campaign also features exclusive dining, shopping, and entertainment offers to boost the city’s holiday economy.
Co-organized with The Landmark by Hongkong Land, the Winter Wonderland project will extend across Central’s key commercial and public spaces, offering immersive experiences curated with participating tenants and business partners.
The initiative is designed to invite both residents and tourists to rediscover Central’s festive charm and enjoy the city’s vibrant winter atmosphere.
As the countdown to Christmas begins, Hong Kong WinterFest is poised to light up the city’s skyline — and the holiday spirit — like never before.
