The 39th International Travel Expo (ITE) Hong Kong is scheduled to take place from Thursday (Jun 12) to Sunday (Jun 15), featuring about 500 exhibitors from 60 countries and regions.
In conjunction with the 20th MICE Travel Expo, the event will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, with an expected attendance of over 70,000.
The first two days of the Expo will be dedicated exclusively to industry professionals, while the general public can access the event on the subsequent days with an admission fee of HK$25.
This year’s theme is “From Recovery to Development,” with a focus on engaging young travelers and families. New pavilions will specifically highlight youth and family travel, emphasizing the promotion of family vacations and trips among friend groups.
The Expo will include a series of seminars conducted by industry experts and KOLs, with innovative and contemporary strategies employed to encourage youth participation in tourism.
Fanny Yeung Shuk-fan, Executive Director of the Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong, indicated that around 7,000 travel tours will be set up this year, adding that the availability of sufficient airline tickets may lead to a 10 percent reduction in travel group fees.
