At CAPCL, your child can seamlessly transition into a bilingual English and Chinese learning environment with supportive child-centred expertise provided by the school and its expert staff.
Play-oriented Learning
CAPCL adopts a play-oriented mode of teaching into its bilingual curriculum to foster a better understanding of both the English and Mandarin Chinese languages, intergroup and interpersonal social skills, and a positive and enjoyable mindset to learning.
Verbal and Non-Verbal Teaching
CAPCL’s bilingual curriculum emphasizes verbal and non-verbal communication with its students. With this engaged approach, your child’s language skills will flourish alongside their observational and social skills as they learn, play, and communicate through a variety of verbal and non-verbal languages with their classmates and teachers.
Three “R”s Motto
CAPCL’s teachers follow a strict three “R”s motto when it comes to aiding students to transition into a dynamic bilingual environment, eliminating unnecessary difficulties.
1. “Relational” teaching Your child will be engaged in a network of support starting from day one, within a small classroom learning community of just 22 to 24 students per two teachers.
2. “Relevant” lessons The curriculum is designed to encourage development from the perspective of children’s interests. In this environment, your child can communicate their thoughts and contribute to class discussions in ways that are meaningful and impactful to their personal growth.
3. “Rigorous” curriculum
Whilst CAPCL reinforces a play-oriented approach in the classroom, teachers also ensure that lessons are engaging and challenging for every single student under their watch.
Parent’s Involvement
Parents’ support in their child’s transition into a bilingual learning environment will greatly improve their performances in class socially and academically—that is why CAPCL also puts emphasis on home-parent collaboration! Ongoing communication between parents, teachers, and students ultimately fosters the desire to participate in various activities in and out of school and, most importantly, the desire to learn.
Christian-Based Education
A Christian establishment, CAPCL believes that every learner is special, unique, and valuable, and encourages each child to develop his or her God-given talent. At CAPCL, children’s dispositions are revealed to us in their play, learning, and daily experiences.
