Two infected with virus in Liaoning and Heilongjiang, 21 arrivals sick

China's National Health Commission said Monday that it received reports of 23 newly confirmed coronavirus patients in the mainland Sunday, including 21 imported patients and two locally infected people.

The two locally-infected patients reported in Liaoning and Heilongjiang respectively, the commission's daily report showed, the state media Xinhua reports.

Four new suspected patients, all imported, were reported in Shanghai, according to the commission.

No new deaths related to the coronavirus disease were reported on Sunday.

A total of 14 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery on Sunday.

By the end of Sunday, a total of 4,136 imported patients had been reported in the mainland. Among them, 3,859 had been discharged from hospitals following recovery, and 277 remained hospitalized. No deaths had been reported among the imported patients. As of Sunday, 318 patients are still receiving treatment.
