In a Facebook post, the citizen recounted her encounter with the baby and uploaded a photo of the back of the foreign domestic helper pushing the stroller, expressing hope that the parents would be aware of the incident to prevent a potential tragedy.
The poster stated she noticed the baby inside the stroller alone around 2.30pm last Thursday (Apr 17), positioned two meters from the store entrance as she walked past.
After standing next to the stroller for about two minutes, the domestic helper returned, claiming she had been shopping.
Highlighting the danger of leaving the child alone, the poster lectured the helper that she should have taken the baby with her despite the long line at the counter.
In response, the domestic helper stated that she had called a friend for help, but the poster noted that the child was all alone.
The post has sparked heated discussions over the incident, with many stating that child safety should always be the top priority.
