Macau recorded 34.92 million in visitor arrivals last year, a 23.8 percent increase, while travelers from Hong Kong dropped by 0.2 percent.

According to the data released by Statistics and Census Service on Tuesday, the number of mainland travelers rose by 28.6 percent year-on-year, reaching 24.49 million, as visitors from the nine Greater Bay Area and Pearl River Delta cities increased by 28.8 percent.
However, only 7.17 million Hongkongers traveled to Macao last year, reflecting a 0.2 percent decline compared to the previous year.
The authorities also noted a surge in international visitors, which increased by 66 percent to 2.42 million, with Korean travelers soaring remarkably by 140.6 percent.
Additionally, the average length of stay of visitors shortened by 0.1 days to 1.2 days, due to the growth in the proportion of same-day travelers.
