Lung told reporters on Thursday that their mall at Tai Wai Station benefited the most from the measure during the Christmas and New Year holidays, while other malls also posted better sales when compared to the figures months ago.
He expressed confidence in an increase in foot traffic and sales at all their malls, adding that the firm will continue to monitor the situation.
Meanwhile, Lung said their shopping malls will launch New Year promotions to stimulate local consumption, while continuously introducing different types of stores and increasing the number of pop-up stores to attract customers.
The firm also plans to roll out measures to strengthen the connection between the malls and the communities they are in, believing it will help boost consumption, he said.
