A whopping HK$128 million, the biggest jackpot in Mark Six history, was shared by two winning tickets last night. According to Sing Tao, The Standard’s sister publication, one jammy winner is a police officer attached to the Marine Police Small Boat Division, who takes home HK$69,234,020 in prize money.

It is understood the officer is 36 year-old Lam. He was said to have purchased a HK$10 quick pick ticket with selections randomly generated by computer.
Sources also suggested that he had taken immediate leave from work to enjoy life.
Back in 1995, former police chief Dick Lee Ming-kwai, along with 11 of his colleagues, won HK$38 million - the maximum allowed - in the Dragon Boat Festival Mark Six snowball draw. Lee was said to have taken home HK$7 million for his share.
Apart from the two winning tickets who won first prize, the Jockey Club said fourteen tickets won second prize, with each winner pocketing HK$844,560. Third prize was won by 651.5 tickets, with each taking HK$48,390.
The numbers drawn were 8, 13, 18, 23, 31 and 47. The extra number was 16.
The total turnover was HK$328,821,743, according to the Jockey Club.
