The Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS) has completed the Phase 1A subsidized sale flats, “Eminence Terrace I,” and the Phase 1B rental block “Eminence Tower I” of the maiden Dedicated Rehousing Estate “Casa Eminence” at Hung Shui Kiu / Ha Tsuen New Development Area.
Dedicated Rehousing Estate aims to provide non-means-tested rehousing arrangements for households affected by the government’s development clearance exercises or urban renewal program.
The first homeowner of the 27-storey Eminence Terrace I took possession of his new flat at the end of October. The project provides 300 one- to three-bedroom units with ancillary facilities, including a clubhouse and a landscaped garden.
The Terrace is the first Subsidized Sale Flats Project built using the Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) method. The superstructure works were shortened by over 10 percent to about two years.
Eminence Tower I provides 375 units and is currently open for applications from eligible households. The resident intake is expected in the first quarter of next year.
HKHS chairman Ling Kar-kan, CEO James Chan Yum-min, and Development Undersecretary David Lam Chi-man recently visited both projects.
HKHS is currently developing or planning eight Dedicated Rehousing Estate projects, three of which are located in the northern metropolis, including Hung Shui Kiu / Ha Tsuen, Pak Wo Road in Fanling, and Kwu Tung North.
