The Hong Kong tournament stop will begin on Friday (Mar 8) and continue for three consecutive days. About 6,000 locals are expected to arrive at the golf course each day.
As the roads near Fan Kam Road are relatively narrow, officers will conduct multiple crowd control measures and diversions to avoid traffic congestion, and citizens are urged to take public transport to the golf course.
Citizens with tickets are reminded that the organizers have provided free shuttle buses at six designated locations in Mong Kok, Central and Kowloon Tong.
Around 2,000 to 3,000 parking spaces will be allocated to golf spectators, while other spectators coming via taxi are required to stop near Ching Shing Road and walk about five minutes to the Fanling Golf Course.
The police spokesman said golf fans will be allowed to enter the golf course two hours prior to the start of the tournament for their convenience.
