A construction worker suspected of splashing warm liquid onto the lower back and buttocks of a female pedestrian in Causeway Bay has been sent to a psychiatric center after appearing in the West Kowloon Magistrates' Courts on Monday.
The 56-year-old man was caught in a police operation on Great George Street in Causeway Bay on Friday night after an officer spotted him splashing an unknown liquid onto the buttocks of a 17-year-old girl.
He was brought to the court on one count of outraging public decency this morning and was not required to enter a plea.
The magistrate adjourned the case to March 11 pending psychiatric reports to determine whether the man is fit to stand trial.
The man will be remanded at the Siu Lam Psychiatric Centre until his next court appearance.
Meanwhile, the prosecution told the court that the police force is currently investigating whether the man was also involved in similar incidents reported by nine other women, including a 16-year-old.
