A Kai Yuet Court flat in the latest round of the Home Ownership Scheme (HOS) has emerged as the "king of flats" with a price tag of HK$4.94 million - or HK$10,543 per square foot - as the most expensive in the batch.
The Housing Authority announced the latest sales brochures and price lists Wednesday. The flat selection for potential buyers is expected to start next Wednesday (Jan 31).
More than 9,100 flats in six HOS estates - Kai Yuet Court in Kai Tak; On Ying Court, On Lai Court and On Wah Court in Kwun Tong; Siu Tsui Court in Tuen Mun and Long Tin Court in Yuen Long - have been put on sale at 62 percent of the market price.
The most expensive unit is Flat eight on the 30th floor of block B at Kai Yuet Court, with a floor area of 469 square feet. The flat faces southeast and is expected to have a view of the Kai Tak Sports Park - which is under construction - the Kwun Tong Typhoon Shelter and the Victoria Harbour.
The cheapest flat is Flat 19 on the 3rd floor of block A at Long Tin Court, which has an area of 288 sq ft and a price tag of HK$1.48 million or HK$5,164 per sq ft.
Meanwhile, around 60 units of Kam Chun Court in Ma On Shan, Kai Cheung Court in Diamond Hill, Yu Nga Court in Tung Chung as well as Yu Tak Court in Sha Tin will be resold.
Separately, green form applicants are also eligible for the 416 recovered Tenants Purchase Scheme (TPS) flats, which are provided by 39 TPS estates, with prices ranging from HK$225,000 to HK$997,000.
A 494-sq-ft flat on the 7th floor in Cheong Yin House at Nam Cheong Estate in Sham Shui Po is the most expensive, while the cheapest unit is a 164-sq-ft flat at Wan Tau Tong Estate in Tai Po.
"HOS 2023" has received a total of about 172,000 applications, with the green form accounting for about 25 percent and the white form accounting for about 75 percent, and was oversubscribed around 18 times.
