Temperature dips below 3 degree Celsius in Ta Kwu Ling

Temperatures in urban areas dropped to around 10 degree Celsius in Hong Kong on Christmas Eve morning as Ta Kwu Ling recorded the lowest 2.9 degrees. 

This was followed by Ngong Ping which saw the mercury dip to 3.3 degrees. 

The Cold Weather Warning is now in force, as the observatory said a dry winter monsoon is bringing generally fine weather to southern China. 

The weather will be fine and very dry in the afternoon and tonight will be cold. 

The weather watchdog noted that the weather will still be cold in the morning on Christmas and will be very dry during the day. 

Citizens are advised to put on warm clothes, ensure adequate indoor ventilation, and avoid prolonged exposure to wintry winds.
