An online video showed a cyclist getting injured after being struck by a sedan in Tuen Mun.
The incident happened yesterday afternoon (Sept 30) at around 3.27 pm, and a 13-year-old cyclist was crossing along Tsun Wen Road without following traffic rules when a white sedan drove close to the location.
The sedan could not stop in time and hit the boy. After a few seconds, the boy was able to get up on his own and wait for paramedics on the roadside.
The video ends as a man and woman get out of the vehicle to check up on the injured youngster.
According to the police, they received a report from the driver of the white sedan around 4 pm yesterday stating that he had struck a 13-year-old cyclist near Tai Hing Estate.
The injured boy was taken to the hospital for medical attention.
This video has led to discussion online, with some people stating that the cyclist was selfish and the driver was slow to react.
Some suspect that the cyclist did this on purpose, and they feel bad for the driver for being involved in this incident where he was blameless.
