Police were alerted to Yuen Long and found two men dead who had committed suicide using coal on Saturday afternoon.
A woman contacted the police yesterday (Sept 16) at around 4 pm stating that her ex-boyfriend could not be contacted since four days ago, and she went to his The Parcville apartment only to discover that it was locked from the inside with a strong odor emanating from inside.
The firefighters arrived at the scene and broke down the door to discover the two men dead in the apartment.
Coal was found to have been burned at the location, and the two men are suspected to have passed away for quite some time.
The case has been handed over to the Yuen Long police district.
It is understood that the two 40-year-old men, surnamed Wong, were twins and were working as electricians.
Both of the twins had recently broken up with their girlfriends, with the older brother moving into the apartment after his breakup three weeks ago.
Their mother had also received messages reminding the older brother to pay his debt, and it is suspected that the older brother was also suffering from debt issues.
