Police officers subdue a drunken man with a knife in Amoy Gardens in Kowloon Bay on Tuesday evening. None of the officers was injured.
Officers were called at about 6 pm to the Amoy Gardens after residents said a knife-wielding man was acting irrationally.
It was learned that the man was heading to the Amoy Plaza before being taken down by the police with riot shields. Photos circulated online showed that 7 to 8 officers subdued him on the ground.
The man, said to be drunk, was arrested on suspicion of possessing offensive weapons and was taken to United Christian Hospital for evaluation.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
