Ten 612 protest fund arrestees granted bail

All 10 people earlier arrested in connection to the “612 Humanitarian Relief Fund” have been released on bail. 

They must report to police in mid-September. 

The four men and six women, aged between 26 and 43, were arrested by national security police on Thursday for allegedly colluding with foreign forces to endanger national security. 

They are all former employees of the fund, including; activist Bobo Yip Po-lam, Cheuk Kai-kai, Helen Hui Kun-wing, Wong Tsz-yan and Suki Tsoi Yui-chi. 

Yip left Ma On Shan Police Station in the early hours on Saturday. She gestured with praying hands and boarded a friend’s car without answering reporters’ questions. 

Some of them are also members of a voluntary Chinese medicine group that provided assistance to protesters during the 2019 unrest, and who had admitted they were financially supported by the 612 fund.
