Coroner Ko Wai-hung and the jury today continue to hear from senior police constable Lam Chi-keung's testimony.
Lam said on yesterday’s hearing that he was able to access information on Chow's laptop and tablet using the passwords recorded in the student's unlocked desktop computer. All the devices were collected at Chow's residence.
Lam found in the tablet that Chow had sent multiple messages to group chats on Telegram between 12.46am to 12.49am that day.
The messages sent by Chow said he was “getting the popcorn” watching the clash inside the car park, the text messages also revealed that Chow left home to “bring something to someone”.
The last message was sent at 12.49am that day, with other members of the chat group who later asked Chow if he was safe but have not received his reply.
Lam also said he had tried to unlock Chow’s Apple iPhone but to no avail, where his phone shows it has been disabled. The police had twice contacted Apple Inc. in the hopes of having them assist in unlocking Chow’s phone, but the company said they are unable to do so.
