The Civil Service Bureau has hosted its first seminar on national security for over 100 Senior Civil Servants.

The seminar was joined by Bi Yanying, Deputy Dean of Law School of the University of International Relations, explaining the new National Security Law to the participants.

Secretary for the Civil Service Patrick Nip Tak-kuen said the attendees today include Permanent Secretaries and Heads of Government Departments, along with Directorates and Assistant Secretaries of the Bureau.

“Civil servants are an important part of the government, who have a responsibility to think and deal with problems from a national level. It is necessary for them to be familiar with the idea of national security, including the new Hong Kong National Security Law,” said Nip.
