Typhoon Bavi near Japan, set to intensify

Typhoon Bavi was centred about 220 kilometers northwest of Okinawa, Japan at noon, the Hong Kong Observatory said.

It is forecast to move north at about 10 km per hour across the East China Sea and continue to intensify.

The weather in Hong Kong will be mainly fine. Very ho  in the afternoon. Moderate southwesterly winds, the HKO forecast.
