Hong Kong national security police have taken away the ex-wife and the children of self-exiled activist Elmer Yuen Gong-yi for questioning this morning, according to sources.
The three, including the son and daughter of Yuen with his ex-wife, were taken to Western Police Station and Wan Chai Police Station to help with the investigation. Officers also searched their home on Thursday.
It was learned that no arrest had been made.
This came after Elmer Yuen's eldest daughter Mimi Yuen Mi-wahng, his son Derek Yuen Mi-chang and Derek's lawmaker wife Eunice Yung Hoi-yan were taken away last week to help with the investigation.
Elmer Yuen, aged 74, is among the eight activists, each with a HK$1 million bounty put on them, accused of subversion and collusion with a foreign country or with external elements to endanger national security.
The national security police took multiple actions to lead away some of the eight activists' families for investigation recently, including family members of Dennis Kwok Wing-hang, Mung Siu-tat, and Nathan Law Kwun-chung.
