In a response to the “No Kings” march that took place across the American nation on Saturday, Trump released an AI-generated video featuring himself and J.D. Vance wearing crowns flying a fighter jet decorated with the words “KING TRUMP”. The video depicts the jet flying over crowds of protesters while covering them in brown sludge to the music of Loggins' “Danger Zone” - a song featured in the 1986 movie Top Gun.
NPR reports that Loggins sent in a statement claiming that no one had asked for his permission and that if he were, he would have denied the request. He continued that he has requested for it to be removed as well as expressing disbelief over the idea of any musician wanting their work to be associated with themes that set to divide the country.
NPR reported it has reached out to the White House for comment, only to receive an image of Tom Cruise and the late Val Kilmer from the movie Top Gun captioned "I FEEL THE NEED FOR SPEED” as a response.
