Free tickets for the Special Olympics table tennis competition—part of the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games (NSOG)—will be available to the public from 3pm today through online real-name registration.
The competition will take place at the Tsuen Wan Sports Centre on December 6, 8 and 9. Members of the public can register on the event website (https://ww2.ctshk.com/ticketDetail?channelId=9&productId=3300001799&poiId=16613386) from 3pm today until 5pm on the day before each competition day. Each person may obtain up to two tickets per transaction.
Successful applicants will receive a ticket exchange certificate by email. On the day of the event, spectators must bring both the certificate and the identification document used during registration to the ticket counter outside the venue to redeem their single-day admission tickets. The competition does not feature assigned seating, and ticket holders may enter and exit the venue multiple times.
Both the ticket exchange certificates and the redeemed tickets are non-transferable. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If any remain, spectators may also register on-site for same-day tickets during the competition period.
The NSOG table tennis competition features five events: Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles and Mixed Doubles.
Competitions begin on Saturday with the men’s singles and women’s doubles. Mixed doubles will follow on Monday, while women’s singles and men’s doubles will be held next Tuesday.
Athletes are divided into five age groups—8 to 11, 12 to 15, 16 to 21, 22 to 29, and 30 and above. Division tests will be conducted based on age, gender and event category, grouping athletes with similar abilities into divisions of three to eight competitors.
