Mavericks one win from Finals as star pair ignite closing run

Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving scored 33 points apiece and the Dallas Mavericks made all the big plays down the stretch, beating the Minnesota Timberwolves 116-107 for a 3-0 lead in the NBA Western Conference finals.

A win in Game Four at home tomorrow (HK time) will send Dallas to the NBA Finals.

The Mavericks closed with a 14-3 run, PJ Washington starting it with a three-pointer after being passes from Doncic and Irving.

Doncic hit a shot in the lane for a four-point lead, Irving made a jumper while falling down, and Doncic found Daniel Gafford for an alley-oop dunk that made it 113-105 with 34 seconds left.

Anthony Edwards led the Wolves with 26 points.
