Showing the flag for Tung Wah charity

You can join the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Flag Day today – to be a charity giant and get a cyberpunk flag designed by local artists.

This year’s flag day is themed “Charity Giant, which symbolizes the group providing a huge variety of charity services and encouraging citizens to give a helping hand to those in need.

The four flag stickers this year were designed by PureHay Au Yeung Chunhey to show major services provided by the group – medical, education, social services, records and heritage conservation.

Apart from paying with coins, citizens can also buy a flag with electronic payments such as AlipayHK and WeChat Pay, as well as donate online on the group’s website from today to September 29.

Speaking at a media luncheon at the group’s new youth center Tung Po in San Po Kong yesterday, the group chairman, Herman Wai Ho-man, called on citizens to support Flag Day.

“With society returning to normalcy, TWGHs has been proactive in cooperating with local community organizations, and on the mainland, to further enhance our services to help more people in need,” Wai said.
