Chinachem said the company would like to express its gratitude to Choi for his contribution and leadership over the past seven years to transform and grow the business.
Choi said plans to look for his successor were soon put into place after he announced his intention to retire last July.
Cheung has been an independent non-executive director of Chinachem since 2022. And prior to joining Chinachem, Cheung was an executive director and chief operating officer of Link Real Estate Investment Trust (0823).
Cheung began his career in Canada, and has since moved into senior management positions in infrastructure investment, construction and engineering, and real estate investment, the statement said.
