Maxim's packages best with less

Maxim's held the first BEST with LESS Sustainable Packaging Design Competition to seek innovative eco-friendly food packaging solutions from local tertiary institutions, facilitating plastic-free operations.

They were tasked to develop sustainable designs such as lunch boxes, cups, lids and sauce containers using materials like paper or bagasse.

BEST with LESS's partners included the Centre for Social Innovation Studies (CSIS) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, contributing as a consultant and researcher and The Hong Kong Designers Association (HKDA), which rallied 18 designers to volunteer as mentors.

After two rounds, GREENMAX was crowned champion with its green and sustainable design that promotes simplification and the reduction of materials.

The top three teams will receive scholarships from Maxim's and air tickets from Greater Bay Airlines and design implementations at Maxim's. Winners of the Outstanding Award and Most Popular Design Award will get dining vouchers and scholarships, totaling HK$10,000.
