Police received a report at 9.43am about a brown dog running along a lane of King’s Road toward Causeway Bay before entering the IEC and weaving through traffic.
Video footage shared online showed the dog darting across lanes while a police vehicle followed closely behind to protect it.
Officers attempted to intercept the dog, but it continued to evade them. Footage also captured the dog sitting calmly beside a parked bus, appearing unfazed by the situation.

To ensure the safety of both the animal and motorists, police temporarily closed part of the Chai Wan-bound lanes near Provident Centre.
According to Hong Kong Animal Post, the dog eventually left the IEC at around 11.28am and entered the nearby East Coast Park.
By 11.58am, a joint effort by police officers, SPCA inspectors, and volunteers successfully rescued the dog.
