Telecom operators CSL and 1010 have launched emergency support measures for Hong Kong customers stranded in the Middle East amid ongoing regional tensions.
With flight disruptions and security concerns affecting several countries, some Hongkongers remain in the region and require stable communication to stay in contact with family members and airlines.
In response, CSL and 1010 announced they will waive three roaming charges daily for 10 consecutive days. The support package includes 2GB of roaming data, 60 minutes of voice calls and 20 SMS messages per day.
The emergency relief applies to customers in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Israel, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain.
