Sing Tao News Corporation wins 13 honors at 10th Media Convergence Awards

Sing Tao News Corporation took home several top prizes, including the prestigious 10 Outstanding Media Award, at the 10th Media Convergence Awards ceremony on Thursday.

The Hong Kong Association of Interactive Marketing hosted the 10th Media Convergence Awards and anniversary dinner yesterday.

The awards recognize local media organizations for outstanding digital transformation and innovative delivery of news and information over the past year.

Sing Tao Headline secured the gold award in the Newspaper Category (Mobile App), silver for Overall Excellence, bronze for Newspaper Category (Website) in addition to the prestigious 10 Outstanding Media Award.

East Week magazine won bronze in the Magazine Category (Website) and the Magazine Category (Social Media).

The Standard received bronze across the Website, Social Media, Mobile App and Overall in the English Media Category. Headline Daily earned silver for Mobile Apps in the Newspaper Category.

Ohpama claimed the Overall Parent-Child Information Grand Award, while JobMarket won the Overall Education & Career Information Grand Award.

The Top 10 Outstanding Media Award went to the highest-scoring outlets overall.

A professional judging panel of scholars from eight local universities evaluated entries across six media types—newspapers, online media, magazines, television, radio and English media—using criteria such as information innovation, cross-media compatibility, digital marketing effectiveness, business growth, user experience and audience interaction.

This year three new category awards were added—Overall Medical & Health Information Grand Award, Overall Parent-Child Information Grand Award, and Overall Education & Career Information Grand Award—to recognize excellence in specialized content areas.
