A police van and a Tesla collided at an intersection in Tsim Sha Tsui early on New Year's Day, lightly injuring a female passenger in the car.
The accident occurred around 1.30am at the junction of Chatham Road South and Cameron Road. The Police Tactical Unit minibus was heading north on Chatham Road South toward Hung Hom when it hit the Tesla, which was turning right from Chatham Road South into Cameron Road.
The injured passenger received on-site treatment from paramedics. No officers in the van were hurt.
The minibus's left front was severely damaged, while the Tesla's left rear was dented. Police are investigating, with initial information suggesting a possible misreading of traffic signals may have contributed to the crash.
