A truck driver was arrested for suspected drink-driving after his vehicle's mirror hit a pedestrian in Kowloon Bay on Monday.
The incident occurred at about noon on Wang Tai Road. Police said the medium goods vehicle's side mirror allegedly struck a 69-year-old man on the pavement.
Officers arriving at the scene detected alcohol on the 44-year-old driver's breath. He failed a breathalyzer test and was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.
The pedestrian complained of shoulder pain but refused hospital treatment after receiving first aid at the scene.
