Schools in Tai Po will gradually resume classes on Monday using various methods after closures last week due to the deadly Wang Fuk Court fire, the Education Bureau has confirmed.
Five schools that suspended classes on Friday will implement different arrangements for returning students. SKH Yuen Chen Maun Chen Primary School will resume through online classes, while HKFWS Sun Fong Chung College will hold special homeroom sessions with teachers and social workers providing emotional support.
The college has established a task force including principals, vice-principals, homeroom teachers and social workers to contact affected students and families, offering assistance with academic arrangements, emotional support, textbooks, uniforms and stationery.
Meanwhile, Education University has prepared a temporary support center for affected students and is finalizing classroom arrangements with district schools, with details to be announced later.
The Education Bureau said it maintains close contact with schools and will continue providing appropriate support during the recovery period.
