Police have arrested a 50-year-old man for operating a suspected vice establishment in Mong Kok during an anti-vice operation on Thursday afternoon.
The Mong Kok police district special duty team conducted the raid codenamed STEMPICKER at a premises on Fife Street, dismantling what investigators believe was a prostitution venue.
Officers arrested a local man surnamed Ling on suspicion of managing a vice establishment. He has been charged with one count of managing a prostitution premises and will appear at West Kowloon Magistrates' Courts on December 19.
During the operation, police seized evidence including account books, condoms and towels.
Under Hong Kong's Laws, anyone who manages or assists in managing premises operated as a prostitution establishment faces a maximum penalty of 10 years' imprisonment upon conviction.
Police reminded the public to abide by the law and stated they will continue to strictly enforce regulations against illegal activities.
