BMW rams gate at Tuen Mun Police Station, driver arrested after fleeing scene

A man has been arrested after a BMW allegedly intentionally crashed into a gate at Tuen Mun Police Station early Tuesday.

The incident occurred around 4am when the luxury vehicle struck the gate on the station's Tsun Wen Road side. The driver abandoned the car and fled the scene before police quickly launched a manhunt and apprehended a suspect within the district.

Initial investigation suggests the collision was not an accident but a deliberate act. The case has been classified as criminal damage.

Police sources indicated the BMW involved had not been reported stolen and showed no signs of forced entry.

The incident may be connected to a separate "suspicious person found" case reported earlier at Oi Shun House of Yau Oi Estate. Investigations are ongoing.
